Terms & Conditions
BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS
Payments via Sue Stamp Tours website can be made through PayPal or by credit or debit card via PayPal’s secure payment system. Any such payments are made subject to the terms and conditions of the secure payment system provider (PayPal). It is possible to pay by cheque if you do not want to pay online. Please contact us to arrange this option and reserve a place on a tour.
When you make an online booking via our website you will receive a confirmation email. We may need to contact you via email or telephone with further information or changes to the details of the tour that you have booked in order to help with your arrangements and planning. By booking a tour you give us permission to contact you by email or phone with information relating to that tour.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving a reason and in such circumstances we will return any monies paid at the time of booking.
Please read and check your confirmation email and any further information that is sent to you relating to the tour you have booked. If you have any queries please contact us and we will be happy to help in any way we can.
Please bring your confirmation of booking email with you to the event as proof of identity and purchase.
CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS TO TOURS
All tour details are correct at the time of sale but occasionally, due to circumstances beyond our control, changes might have to be made to itineraries or details of tours. We reserve the right to make changes and will inform participants if there is a major change to a tour that affects their booking, meeting point or timings of a tour. Every effort will be made to adhere to the tour as advertised.
Cancellation of a tour – in the unlikely event that we have to cancel a tour we will let you know with as much notice as possible. A Tour can only be run if there are sufficient bookings. If there is insufficient demand we will let you know that it has been cancelled and will give you a full refund.
We will not be liable to pay any compensation if we are forced to cancel an event due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control such as transport issues or bad weather.
If a tour goes ahead but you are unable to attend due to ill health, transport problems or bad weather that is your own responsibility and no refund will be due.
We regret that we are not able to give refunds for places booked and paid for, but you are able to transfer your place(s) to someone else. If you wish to transfer your place(s) please advise us with a minimum of 48 hours notice as venues sometimes require full guest lists with names of participants. If we do not receive this information we cannot guarantee entry to certain venues.
Special dietary or access requests
Please advise us if you have special dietary requirements if you book for a tour that involves food. We will not keep these details on file so you will need to tell us for each individual tour that you book. It is your responsibility to let us know if we need to make special arrangements with venues regarding your dietary or access requirements.
Please let us know at least two weeks’ in advance of a tour if you have special requirements.
Walking tours, by the very nature of them, involve a lot of walking and often there will be nowhere to sit or rest for the duration of the tour. Please think carefully about what your own limitations might be and in return we will always endeavour to give a clear indication if a tour will be particularly strenuous or involve difficult terrain, steep stairs etc.
Meeting places and drop-off points will vary depending on each individual coach trip so please take note of the information provided on the website and in your confirmation email. We aim to depart promptly at the time stated and unfortunately the coach cannot wait for latecomers. Drop-off times are approximate as heavy traffic might delay our journey.
Dress code and behaviour
Sometimes a third party or venue will have terms and conditions that our group is asked to adhere to, such as a dress code or requiring a full list of guests’ names. We will inform you of any such requirements and trust that all guests will comply with any such requests and behave responsibly at the venues we visit. We reserve the right to remove a guest from a tour if it is felt necessary.
Information about you and your guest(s), including names, contact details and any special requirements will be kept safely and treated confidentially from the time of booking until the tour has taken place. We may, however, need to share information, mostly names, with some venues for their own security reasons and admission purposes. Only information that is strictly necessary will be disclosed on request from third parties at venues. We will not share your details with any third parties except when a venue requires them for security reasons.
We may take some photographs on tours for use on our website and for other general marketing purposes. Please do contact us or tell us in person if you would prefer not to appear in a photo used for these purposes.
LIMITATION OF OUR LIABILITY TO YOU
We take Health and Safety issues very seriously and take precautions to ensure that tours are managed in a responsible way with safety in mind. However, tours are taken at your own risk and our liability, except in cases involving death or personal injury, shall be limited to the amount payable by you for your place(s) on the tour or event.
